Giving Tree 2025

OLM Logo

Our annual Giving Tree Project begins on November 30th.

The project will benefit the Good Neighbour Fund. During the four weeks of Advent we are asking parishioners to bring in food items to help the needy of our parish.

The following is a list of suggested food items that we need:
MILK
LONG GRAIN RICE
PASTA (SPAGHETTI)
TOMATO SAUCE
COOKING OIL
EGGS
BISCUITS
FROZEN VEGETABLES (e.g. SPINACH)
CHICKEN
COLACAO
CHEESE
HAM
YOGHURTS
CANNED FISH AND MEATS

Also needed are Christmas treats such as turron de chocolate con cacahuetes. Each time you bring an item, please put it under the tree, write your name on a piece of paper and then leave the paper in the box near the tree or give it to a member of our class. The Confirmation class will make a Christmas decoration with your name for the tree and add
embellishments to it each time you bring an item.

The food items will be given to families that we help via the Good Neighbour Fund and also to a number of homeless people that “live” rough in the neighbourhood.

Please be a good neighbour! Please support the Giving Tree Project and the Good Neighbour Fund. This is an excellent way to prepare for Christmas during Advent and the person that you help could well be the person sitting next to you at church!
